Prompts are just suggestions, feel free to follow your bliss if you get a better idea. I'd prefer happy or happy-for-now endings for all my requests.
You can get a general sense of my likes and dislikes from other exchange letters. I love h/c, romance, loyalty and struggling together against impossible odds. In terms of physical affection, I like cuddling, sleepy sex, uptight characters who relax/ease up with their loved ones. Oh, and hair-pulling if you're going for smut. Especially when the characters have longish hair.
Global DNWs: non-con, any kind of pregnancy. Please no dubcon unless I've asked for it. No teenagers under their canon ages.
Shadowhunters (TV)
Magnus Bane/Alec Lightwood
I really like their chemistry and the scene where Alec tells Magnus he's beautiful, cat eyes and all, got me right in the feels. I love the way just being around Magnus kind of forces Alec to lighten up.I would love to see more of the moments that get glossed over in canon: dates in Paris, dancing (all the dancing), how they learn to trust each other.
Alternately: sex magic. I am always down for sex magic, and it would be a really interesting way to show their increasing trust in each other/partnership.
Mind the gap: Alec is sometimes a bit floored by Magnus's greater life experience, sexual and otherwise, and I'd be happy to have a story that leaned into that tension. Or maybe Magnus gets confused or frustrated by Alec being so damn young.
Isabelle Lightwood/Raphael Santiago
The 'Isabelle is addicted' storyline was not my thing, but I really fell for the Raphael/Izzy relationship. My headcanon is that there is actually something special between them aside from the charge of the blood-drinking, not a conventional romance, but a real emotional/romantic bond anyway. I would be happy with them just hanging out and making tamales, or gossiping about some of the truly WTF stuff that happens to and around them. I would also be happy with any kind of supernatural adventure--negotiating with other Downworlders, solving a mystery.
Please keep Raphael asexual. Thanks. I would prefer not to read too much about the whole blood-drinking OTT debacle, but that's not a hard DNW if it works for the story you're telling.
Mind the gap: This is a much smaller gap than Magnus/Alec, but in some ways I think that would bring out more tensions--Alec knows how much younger he is, but Izzy often seems to just look past the generational differences. (Did Raphael love doo-wop? Does he still love doo-wop?) I love a good unexpected culture clash.
In general: I know basically nothing of the books. If you want to flesh things out with book canon, that's fine, but please don't assume I know any book-canon details (and where the books and show contradict, please go with show canon).
I would be pleased as punch for any glimpses from This World Inverted; Alec taking the initiative to pursue Magnus would be a hell of a lot of fun, and it'd also be fun to see Raphael as the nice older dude who visits his sister in the nursing home where Izzy volunteers (or whatever strikes your fancy).
Yami No Matsuei | Descendants of Darkness
Any (which means: Tsuzuki/Hisoka, Tatsumi/Hisoka, Tsuzuki/Tatsumi/Hisoka)
DNWs: non-con, any kind of pregnancy, Hisoka under his age at the start of canon.
Yami is full of secrets and bad decisions and poorly hidden desires, and boy are these three excellent examples of those things.
I would love dubcon for these idiots, because my headcanon is that they all low-key want to bang but are too damaged/repressed/afraid to make any kind of move. I'm also a sucker for late nights at the office, negotiations around paperwork, casefic, and (you'll note a theme) sex magic.
Hisoka burns so brightly, and he's so angry, and I have a LOT of Hisoka feelings. I like that his empathy is so strong as to be painful, and that sometimes he uses it for understanding but sometimes he's just done with people and their stupid drama. He treats Tatsumi as a colleague, but there's caution when he does it; Tsuzuki is more something precious and fragile to him. And I also really like what happens with the three of them together--Tatsumi/Tsuzuki sounds like a trainwreck from hell, but adding Hisoka brings (at least in my mind) some stability and balance.
Mind the Gap: Tsuzuki is the eldest but is so frozen in his development; in some ways, Hisoka's the most mature, because he at least can say what he wants every once in a while. I'd love any digging into their different eras and life experiences (my headcanon is that Tatsumi came of age in the 40s but I am not attached to it).
Yuri!!! on Ice (Anime)
Phichit Chulanont/Celestino Cialdini
I have this headcanon of Phichit as this irresistible force; I mean, he'd kind of have to be, to earn such a place of trust in Yuuri's heart. I love that he's loyal, and fun and sweet, and his position as a pioneer of Thai skating means he's also worked his ass off.
Celestino seems kind and patient and a perfect match for Phichit professionally, so why not some romance?
Would love humor and affectionate gestures in this one. Birthdays or celebrating medals or trying to figure out how Phichit will get that dang ice show off the ground.
Mind the Gap: Please don't forget that if they, for example, went public tomorrow that might ruin Celestino's career. Don't have anyone blackmailing anyone into a relationship. Daddykink is not my thing but I think Celestino especially would be aware that he's more than old enough to be Phichit's father. (Does he have kids? Are they Phichit's age? You can make this awkward, I love awkward.)
Katsuki Yuuri/Yuri Plisetsky
They're competitors! They're sort of friends! They're in a sport that crushes you physically and doesn't always do great things mentally! What next?! One of the things I find really interesting about the Yuri's relationship is that they're going to end up in this weird state as Yuri grows up and becomes less of a younger skater and more of a peer (while they're already peers competitively, they're at such different places in their lives as canon starts).
Other thoughts: I really like that Yuri too ends up finding a second home at the Katsukis. (I'm fine with the headcanon that Yuri had a crush on Yuuri at some point but am also fine without it.) I like that Yuuri, after that first encounter, holds his own against Yuri, and that Yuri gets hella flustered when he can't make an impact. I love any pairing with a good push and pull, and these two have a great one.
Mind the gap: Very specific DNWs here: I do not want Yurio to be younger than his canon age when any kind of sexual relationship starts, and would much prefer him to be older--more established in his career or at the end of it (again, that transition from 15 vs 23 to 25 vs 33 is so interesting to me).
Other DNW: I also don't want infidelity or too much focus on breakups or relationships gone wrong. (I am fine with PWP, handwaving any other relationships, polyfic, etc, but want Yuri/Yuuri to be the focus of any fic.)
Yakov Feltsman/Nicolai Plisetsky
LATE IN LIFE ROMANCE IS ONE OF MY MANY JAMS. Nicolai's method of support seems to be quiet encouragement, hugs, and food. Yakov's is yelling, and also hugs.
I'd like to see how they've worked together (or not!) during Yuri's career, or maybe catching feelings in a new setting (there's that fun art from Hatsetsu).
Mind the gap: For there to be an age gap worthy of the exchange, Nicolai would have to have become a father and/or grandfather on the young side. Yakov's been a father figure but I'm not sure a father at all. I'd love anything digging into that contrast in experience.
