In case you haven't heard viaglass_icarus or ithiliana, fiction_theory has a great post on what art is, and what it costs, and how Amanda Palmer is not Erykah Badu. Interesting stuff, and a great post. I'm still chewing over everything brought up.
Via just about everyone but especiallymedize and lindentreeisle, the video of American soldiers killing civilians in Baghdad, via WikiLeaks, which worked like hell to get it exposed to the public. I'm not sure what to say beyond this is what happens. This is war, and it's ugly and horrible and I don't think there's ever been a conflict, ever, where shit like this doesn't happen. So when you go to war, this is what happens. USA, try not to forget-- again-- this time.
