(Im)Plausible Deniability, in which Nie Huaisang asks a (mostly) innocent question and pays the price. I fucking wheezed at this one.

I have been writing too many CQL contemporary AUs but in my defense sometimes I innocently go looking for pretty pictures on the Internet and read things like "modern Jiang Cheng would be redpilled" and my hand slips for a couple thousand words.

Who Can Explain the Thunder and Rain, reincarnation AU in which Jiang Wanyin keeps having extremely specific dreams.

Hello creator, and thank you for creating for me! I will enjoy whatever you make, I promise; if I have more ideas for one fandom than another, it has nothing to do with how much I love them. I only pick fandoms I will be thrilled with. :D

Overall I have asked for treats, not tricks, but tricks are fine for extra gifts. I will do my best to add some art prompts to this letter as well; I am bad at talking about and requesting art but I enjoy it, I promise. Alternate universes and canon divergences are fun; I like backstory, future fic and canon-set fic. Any rating is fine. Thank you for creating for me, Candy Hearts participant! All my requests are for fic but I always welcome art. I am just very, very bad at requesting it and then I realize it's the day before signups close and I have no letter and...yeah, you get the idea.

Prompts are just suggestions and hopefully will give you an idea of what I like: please go with whatever inspires you rather than feeling obligated to use any of my ideas. If I have more prompts for one fandom than another it doesn't mean I want either more or less, just what came to mind.

Cardcaptor Sakura

Kero & Yue & Sakura

This is such a fun little canon. I love the plucky spirit of its characters and the way that Sakura both comes into her power and is still not quite comfortable with it all, because she's an elementary schooler; it really sets the tone for the whole canon. I love everything about the cards and whatever the fuck is going on with Yukito/Yue. I have not read the manga but I'm happy to have stuff from the manga. I think there's something so sweet and romantic about the canon as a whole, and I love both Yukito/Touya and Sakura/Syaoran. Feel free to have the rest of the cast show up, they're all great.

For Candy Hearts, I'd love something about the relationship between Kero & Yue and/or Kero, Yue and Sakura. Yue and Kero had a long relationship before meeting Sakura, but it was interrupted by their respective assignments and I think they both needed to do some rebuilding of their relationship. Meanwhile, Sakura and Kero created a nice little team dynamic, and then Yue comes along. How do they adjust?

Possible prompts:

Kero decides Yue needs to learn a video game. Maybe Kero can't beat his current game without co-op? IDK, I just like the thought of confronting Yue with a video game controller.
Sakura is off on a school trip and Yue and Kero have to handle a magical emergency themselves.
Kero and Yue help Sakura with her history homework.
New Year's Celebrations, festivals, birthdays, all of that fun stuff. Do Kero and Yue know when their birthdays are

I'd prefer a fluffer/canon-ish tone in general; I have no preference between "Cerberus" or "Keroberos" (or Kero-chan, ofc).

They're my favorite odd couple, and I like a lot of odd couples. I love how neither of them fit where they 'should' belong and how deeply they know each other's scars, and I love the affection that shows under their bickering. I'm happy to have the rest of the cast show up and I like all the canon ships.

This whole Inge thing is going to come to a head at some point, right? Hearth can't be that oblivious forever...can he? (Please be kind to Inge if you write this, the poor girl's been through a lot.)
Hearth needs new clothes, so obviously he comes to Blitz. Maybe Blitz takes them right back off, you tell me.
Alternately, Blitz has a new clothing innovation the needs Hearth to model/test.
The early days working for Mimir. What were they doing when they weren't looking out for Magnus?

Yohji/Omi: Look, I just think they should bang. I have no excuse or apologies for this one. They worked together the longest, and Yohji makes terrible decisions and Omi is young and horny and also makes terrible decisions.

Feel free to include the rest of the cast, other pairings, multiple pairings in the same fic. This is a messy, ridiculous canon; go crazy. Have fun.

Not quite a crossover canon, but not quite not, but oh, I love these two together and have for ages. It kind of blew up on Tumblr when I wasn't paying attention. Love that for them. I haven't read much in the fandom so assume it will all be shiny and wonderful and new to me. I do <em>not</em> know Rise of the TMNT well so if you use canon from Rise please make sure i know what you're talking about, heh. I like both canon's casts a lot, so feel free to put anyone in as part of the supporting cast if you'd like.

I love this post from Tumblr so, so much about how much Leo doesn't know about Usagi. I feel like knowing more about Usagi's actual life would blow Leo's damn mind and I am so here for that. (I also love this Mutant Mayhem-style art).

Possible prompts:

Good old-fashioned Battle Nexus nonsense. Any TMNT incarnation can have a Battle Nexus if you believe. Leo and Usagi fighting side by side! And kissing.
AU Leo in the Usagi-verse or Usagi in the TMNT-verse. What would Usagi be like as a mutant? How would the Ninja Turtles be changed if they grew up in a world of furry animals? (Alternately, throw anyone through a portal.)

But you don't need any of those setups for something quick, either. It can just be "Leo and Usagi are hanging out."

Leo and Usagi take down a local criminal gang together.
One of them teaches the other how to cook something they love, or calligraphy, or comparing sword forms. (Sparring to kissing is a classic, I always love that.)
Usagi is semi-retired and living out in the countryside. Leo finds him for reasons. Honor? Fighting? "I just had to see you"?

Fic in a Box 2024!

It me, signing up at the absolute last minute. Again.

I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. I tend to prefer fantasy/adventure AUs to everyday ones (so, Pokemon trainer AU over coffeeshop). Any rating is fine. Previ9us letters are all still pretty applicable to what I love about these fandoms.

I am an experienced knitter and cross-stitcher and a new-ish crocheter. I like making plushies and quick projects in general. I have a lot of yarn and floss and don't have any real weight preferences, etc. I don't have any food allergies, but I do hate broccoli.

Oh my goodness, the possibilities are endless (though I picked some). I've enjoyed Crawford and Schuldig together for ages, especially any time we see them coordinating their powers (or failing to). I love the fanon that Crawford's abilities mean Schuldig can't manipulate/read him as well as he can ordinary people. I like them as a scheming battle couple, and I also like them plotting against each other and falling for each other anyway.

These prompts lend themselves to pre-canon, during canon and after canon, and I'm happy with any of those things. "Mad scientist" reminds me of Masafumi, of course, but maybe they were experimented on at Rosenkreuz. Or captured later because they're so interesting. The idea of them imprisoned for a crime they didn't commit - when they've done so many others - cracked me up. (I'm not normally a fan of 'wrongfully accused' stories but for these two? LOLOLOL.

It's fine to have anyone else from the cast show up, I love them all.

Look, I really like Frenchie. I was also a big fan of Izzy Hands' turn to reluctant, grumpy ally in S2. I would love to see Frenchie's natural ability to scam people playing a part in any rescue, and having anyone being rescued being able to help in the rescue.

I don't mind canon divergence or Izzy faking his death because he's just tired of Ed's shit and it's fine if Izzy is a ghost as long as his afterlife seems okay (hanging around with the crew would be great, or maybe he turned into a bird? maybe he can change back? have fun if you do this, that's what I'm saying). I like the wacky, not too realistic tone of canon, especially when it comes to some of the real life issues going on in the world in the canon era.

A thousand apologies. I looked at the clock, realized I had about fifteen minutes to sign up, and ran. Here are more things and prompts and suchlike. I am happy with pretty much any rating, and I don't mind characters going through rough things on their way to a happy (or happy for now) ending. I do love art, I am just not always great at asking for it. (For OMFD or YnM, era-appropriate styles would be fun.)

Reader, I love them. Would love to have something silly and spooky season related, but I am remarkably easy to please with these two. They are so teenage and so extra, and you just know that they'll stay faintly ludicrous even as they mature. Delightful.

As I said for Fic in a Box, if you read that letter: Yuri is such a live wire, and Otabek is as over the top as Yuri is, just in a much quieter way. They compliment each other so well. They're not fake at all, and they just own what they love and who they are.

I love so much about the figure skating world in YoI, and costumes, music choices, and the constantly-connected world these characters live in is endlessly fascinating to me. I like that Yuri and Otabek come from different worlds in a lot of ways (countries, backgrounds) and exactly the same world in others (art, skating, fighting like hell). I'm happy to see any/all other cast members as they suit the story, but don't feel obligated to put them in. AUs are also welcome; I prefer fantastical settings to mundane ones. I really love stories where Otabek goes to Russia or Yuri to Kazakhstan (I can never get enough of Otabek meeting Potya), but I also like them just hanging out at competitions or visiting Hatsetsu together (Yuri's being half-adopted by the Hatsetsu crowd makes me so happy). I love the nice clean look of the canon art style but I like more complicated and fanciful interpretations as well.

Have some prompts! Yuri and Otabek visit a haunted house (the fun commercial kind or the actually haunted kind). Otabek helps Yuri choose music, both of them working together on costumes/programs/choreography. Visiting each other. Snowed in (I will never be tired of snowed in/cuddling in a cabin together). Future fic at the end of either/both of their careers, when they have to decide what to do next.

I said in the assignment that I'm looking forward to all the ridiculous nonsense in the trailer, and that is true, but I would also be happy if you decided to not worry about writing for an ongoing canon and confined yourself to backstory or Season 1 or canon divergence. I don't mind modern AUs but I prefer there to be something fun going on, a nice murder or something. At least a light theft.

I adore Olu and Jim's relationship; I am a sucker for steadfast, loyal types, and they are both hot, and they also balance each other really well (a theme, I guess). I love that Olu just accepted Jim no questions asked, but he's not above teasing them, and Jim lets Olu in enough to tease them, which...right in the feels. I'd also love a character study of Olu, or backstory, or some of his POV post-S1. He seems to be doing the 'only sane man' thing in the trailers...I'm curious if that holds when he gets a chance to see Jim again.

Frenchie is actually my favorite in the whole cast, I think. I like the hints we have of his history and his ability to bluff his way into what he wants. (Did he bluff his way onto the Revenge? Why would anyone want to bluff their way onto the ship? I have questions!) He's also, let me be shallow, just...spectacularly good looking, his S2 look is amazing.

Izzy/Roach! Izzy needs to take a long, hard look at what is best for him, and what is best for him is a half-insane cook who likes to be mean to him. I don't make the rules. What I like about this ship is Roach's absolute do-not-give-a-fuck attitude jarring Izzy out of his set ideas of How Things Should Be.

Prompts: Olu/Jim or Roach/Izzy getting stranded together; shipwreck, deserted island, blown too far north and stranded in this bizarre 'snow' stuff. A literal phantom limb (Izzy's or someone else's) haunting the cast. Roach gets injured and has to teach Izzy how to cook. Jim learns more about Olu's past. Frenchie deciding it's time to leave the service, or signing up for the Revenge. Frenchie running a new scam.

Other background/side relationships are welcome aside from DNWs. I would prefer Lucius to be alive unless you're doing some kind of ghost story.

DNW: Steddyhands, rape/non-con, omegaverse, pregnancy of any kind. No sexual situations with characters under their mid-teens.

Watari is whatever the opposite of a moral center is. Love that.

Friends, Watari is absolutely unhinged. He experiments on his coworkers for fun. He can bring his (absolutely shitty) sketches to life. He has a harrowing backstory that he never, ever, ever refers to. His lab is full of birds. Everything you learn about him is more bizarre than what came before. Perfect, A+, zero notes.

As I said in last year's Trick or Treat: have many, many questions about his Mysterious Past that will never be answered. I also ship him with Tatsumi (and don't mind the idea of him being FWB with Tsuzuki), and really enjoy his relationship with Hisoka.

I love his powers! I was always disappointed we didn't get more of them in canon. I also love his crazy experiments and how often they go horribly, delightfully wrong. Any excuse to have him pull shit out of a drawing is A++ all right with me. I'm fine with AUs though I'd prefer them to stay supernatural; I'd particularly love some canon divergence--maybe with Watari dying at a different age, or something set long before canon when he was still alive?

Prompts: Honestly, what was 60s Watari like. WHAT. Caring is experimenting on your coworkers. Or yourself. What if Watari actually manages to break into Mother? Someone had to put the shikigami on the Internet, and, like...who else in Meifu would do it? Tell me how that happened.

I am an absolute sucker for that black sleeveless turtleneck. He's gorgeous (though I prefer the original art style, not the mangaka's newer stuff).

I appear to have once again borked the LJ-cut, so...um, sorry, flist. I love you all, come yell at me because I never say hi.

Anyway, dear creator! I am excited to get...well, whatever you choose to make for me!

I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. I tend to prefer fantasy/adventure AUs to everyday ones (so, Pokemon trainer AU over coffeeshop). Length, genre, any of that is entirely up to you. The suggestions here are just that, suggestions, and feel free to look at other letters, etc, for ideas. I love in-universe stuff and there are some great in-universe possibilities here. I tried to pick what suited my idea of canon in my optional choices. (I noticed I may have repeated a few things or chosen overlapping options, that's not me excluding things, it's me trying to be inclusive. This is my first FIAB so please be patient, heh.)

If I have 'better' sounding prompts for any character/fandom, it's not because I like them less, it's just how inspiration has struck. Please, go with what you want to write and what you have fun exploring!

My first online fandom was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and this movie made me incredibly happy. Emphasizing their teenage-ness was just so fun, and the end of the movie opens up so many possibilities for stories that haven't really been told before (outside of AUs, heh).

Mikey is my all-time favorite so I chose him as a solo character, but I also really adore the relationship between all the brothers (and the brothers w/Splinter). They're supportive and loving but it doesn't stop them from teasing the hell out of each other. Perfection.

There are so many wacky post-canon situations they could be in! There are so many wacky pre-canon things that must have happened! I love humor and family vibes and I'd love to see the Turtles doing just...dorky high school stuff. (What does their enrollment paperwork look like?!? The minutes from anime club? The program from Mikey's improv debut?) I love how much love went into this movie, and how populated the world is with flyers and junk and the Turtles' things and the movies they watched and the pop cultur references they annoy each other with. It's busy and crowded and alive.

I do not ship Leo/April but I find Leo's crush on her hilarious and the way the other three absolutely drag him for said crush made me laugh every single damn time it came up. Leo can suffer for my amusement, that's fine.

OCs are obviously fine here; I don't want you to try to write "Mikey at Improv club" and not write OCs. Having these guys bump up against the wider world has so many cool possibilities, in and out of school.

I'm so happy to see interest in this fandom again! I love the core four cast so much, and the way that Vash and Wolfwood's tension and loyalty contrasts with Milly and Meryl's ride-or-die friendship. I ship Vash and Wolfwood (like, so much) but I also really love them as friends or what-might-have-been or whatever works. Adventures within canon, missing scenes, different AUs and alternate endings are all welcome.

I love the themes of forgiveness (and what's beyond forgiveness) and just literally everything about how Gunsmoke works (and doesn't).

Wolfwood's canon fate is so thematically perfect and I love it so much and also...feel free to mess with it, lol. But I do think it's really Important that he gets pushed to the point where he's ready to lose everything if you address the back 1/3 or so of canon.

I love the canon art style but I've seen so many nifty re-interpretations of the characters and setting that pretty much anything would be fun. I want to see your style, dear artist (if you are an artist). The desert setting is so stark and also beautiful, especially with those gorgeous glowing plants out there. And of course the typography and feel of Gunsmoke are distinctive too. The possibilities are endless!

I am okay with cis, trans or 'we are beyond your human idea of gender, what are you even talking about' interpretations for basically any/all plants.

Yami is full of secrets and bad decisions and poorly hidden desires, and it's all pretty and Gothic-ish and dark and weird. I love it.

Hisoka burns so brightly, and he's so angry, and I have a LOT of Hisoka feelings. I like that his empathy is so strong as to be painful, and that sometimes he uses it for understanding but sometimes he's just done with people and their stupid drama. I am happy with all three nominated pairings for him (or some combination of that) or something gen.

As for those relationships - Hisoka treats Tatsumi as a colleague, but there's caution when he does it; Tsuzuki is more something precious and fragile to him. And then there's Hisoka/Oriya: they're both obsessed with Muraki and I love the respect they have for one another in that climactic fight.

And then...Meifu. WTF is up with Meifu. There's so much shit going on behind the scenes, and Tsuzuki couldn't quit if he wanted to, and does Meifu want to keep Hisoka around too to keep him stable (stable-ish)? In-universe documents would be so fun for this one. I want to learn all about their bureaucracy. I would be happy to have the whole Meifu crew show up, or to have a past or present staff (with or without the canon characters; Tsuzuki, for example, has been around an awfully long time). Casefic! Terrible first dates! Weird supernatural shit! Go crazy.

Oh gosh, I love these two edgelords. Yuri is such a live wire, and Otabek is as over the top as Yuri is, just in a much quieter way. They compliment each other so well. They're ludicrous. I love it.

I love so much about the figure skating world in YoI, and costumes, music choices, and the constantly-connected world these characters live in is endlessly fascinating to me. I like that Yuri and Otabek come from different worlds in a lot of ways and exactly the same world in others. I'm happy to see any/all other cast members; AUs are also welcome; I prefer fantastical settings to mundane ones. I really love stories where Otabek goes to Russia or Yuri to Kazahstan (I can never get enough of Otabek meeting Potya), but I also like them just hanging out at competitions or visiting Hatsetsu together.

I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. For shippy stuff, I like any rating from general to adult; just go with what works for the story.

Notes on where to find canons (at least in the US) are included in case you're intrigued.

Minx: Shelly, Bambi

This show is such a delight! I fell in love with it (and the whole cast) right away. Shelly and Bambi come from such different worlds, and I love that that aspect of their relationship never stops them in the slightest. (They have other challenges, of course. Hoo boy, do they!) I ship them like crazy.

Having said that, I would also love to see either of these characters on their own, before or after the canon setting. How did Shelly end up taking a traditional route? How did Bambi find happiness taking off her clothes?

There's so much joy and love in this show. I love the whole cast so feel free to involve them if they fit the story. I also love the look of canon; it's sleazy but everything still manages to look so good. The outfits alone give me life.

Possible prompts:

Future fic set in the 80s and beyond (how do these characters cope with the Satanic Panic? Queer liberation? Lilith Fair?)
How does working at Minx change Shelly's relationship with her kids? What are Bambi's thoughts about the kids? I'm not usually a big kidfic person but they're a part of Shelly's life and one that hasn't been examined too deeply.
More Shelly and Bambi working together, with or without Minx in the picture.
Honestly for this one I would be delighted to see a good old-fashioned Christmas/winter/holiday story (noting that not all the characters in canon are Christian - I'm definitely thinking more 'seasonal' than anything else)

Post-canon, I'd like to see how he navigates his reunion with Goldenloin, his partnerships, if he ever sees Nimona again...there's lots of possibilities!

I asked for Ballister mostly because his journey is the one I find most interesting, but I'd be happy with the whole cast up to something or otherwise involved - any and all other characters you want to put in would be more than welcome.

Possible prompts:

Ballister re-navigating his relationship with Goldenloin post-canon
Recruting and losing minions. It feels like it took a toll on him.
The joys of invention and science, with or without other characters involved
Future fic: seeing Nimona again, or seeing reminders of Nimona in someone else
How did Ballister decide to become the villain he became? How much control did he have, vs. being controlled? (Were other villains before him less science-y, more ruthless, etc? Does he know that himself?)

I like the whole cast so feel free to mix them in as wanted/works in the story, but please keep Barb, Star and their relationship central.

xxxHolic: Doumeki Shizuka, Doumeki/Watanuki

I like the lushness of canon, and the underlying feeling that there's always a price for every pleasure. I love all three of these characters, together or apart. I will ship Doumeki Shizuka with Watanuki until the day I pass from this earth.

I am not particularly fond of the ending (once we start timeskipping; I don't mind that Watanuki takes the shop) and haven't read the second manga, so please ignore the ending, stay pre-ending, go AU, etc.

I love Watanuki growing into his role (both early in canon and later) and the fact that both Doumeki and Watanuki pretend to be much more in control of their lives and feelings than they actually are.

As for Doumeki alone, any glimpse of his life pre-canon would be really interesting to me. Feel free to dig into his relationship with any of the other side characters, too, as long as you keep the focus on Doumeki - his grandfather, Yuuko and Himawari, or a less romantic take on his relationship with Watanuki.

A spooky story would be fun, but don't feel confined to the season.

I would love to see these characters in different (but still magic) settings, meeting in different times and places. Watanuki deliberately getting hurt because he knows Doumeki will come after him/fix things.

DNWs: non-con, A/B/O, any kind of pregnancy. No teenagers in sexual situations under their canon ages.

Our Flag Means Death: Jim/Oluwande, Oluwande, Frenchie

Oluwande and Jim are just so great together; Oluwande is more steady and Jim more mercurial, but they balance each other so well. (And Oluwande can lose patience, too; every time Black Pete brags about Blackbeard he snaps, and it's great.) I'd love to see more of them interacting outside the Revenge, whether it's shore leave or pre-canon. (How did they meet? Why did Olu decide to help Jim's revenge quest? I HAVE QUESTIONS.)

As for Oluwande solo, after the season finale he's separated from Jim for very different reasons, so it'd be great to see how he reacts to that and how he works to get back to Jim. If you look at him pre-canon, I'd prefer not to have anything too dark or sad - I know everything had to go completely to shit to have him land on the Revenge, but I'd rather not dwell on it. The early days of him working in the Republic of Pirates might be really interesting, though!

Frenchie has seen some stuff, and I'm dying to know what. I also would love a look at him post-canon, where it's just he and Jim on the Revenge trying to get by and not get dead. Obviously there's going to some dark stuff there, and I don't mind if it's there, but I would rather not have anything with too sad a tone.

I like Frenchie's connection with Wee John and am happy to have them romantic, just friends, or anywhere in between if Wee John shows up.

I like the canon and canon-ish ships (like Lucius/Izzy) and am happy to see other characters and ships in the background if they work for the story.

DNW: Steddyhands, rape/non-con, A/B/O, pregnancy of any kind. No sexual situations with characters under their mid-teens.

WandaVision, Agatha Harkness

Agatha all along! I love her. Even though she did what she did to Sparky. (Was Sparky even real? The questions this show raised.)

Anyway, I want to know All About Agatha, especially about the time she spent between the flashback to her past to Wanda's arrival in Westview. Did she spend her time scheming or was she just living her morally ambiguous witchy life? Did she have a succession of hot boy toys? Did she train other witches?

Post-canon, I have questions too. Does she still know she's a witch? What does she do for a living if she doesn't? A story where Billy and Tommy end up showing from the void (or wherever they are) and she ends up taking them in could be a lot of fun.

I am the only person on AO3 who has written this pairing. I may, in fact, be the only person on Earth who has written this pairing. I don't want to be alone any more! I don't really have any set headcanon for the two of them or anything - they're similar in age (and size, tall for a figure skater is short for a hockey player), they're world-class athletes in demanding professions, they have great butts. I think they could have a lot of fun together and might even be good long-term. I think Kent is a guy who got dealt a really shitty hand and he's doing the best he can, and sometimes that's not great, but...hell, we're all doing the best we can. Chris is much more well-adjusted but I think hanging out with someone in another sport would be good for him.

Possible prompts:

The Olympics. Action! Drama! Running into your ex! Maybe Kent needs to pretend he's dating someone and Chris volunteers.
They both end up on Dancing With the Stars on the off-season/post-retirement.

Yozak being kind of fun and laid back and Gwendal being...Gwendal gives them such a great and complimentary contrast.

I have been on the Gwendal/Yozak train for a very long time, long enough that I still have half the old transliterations in my head. (I absolutely do not care what transliterations you use, ftr.) By the time canon starts they have a decade plus of working together behind the scenes and they appear to be pretty damn good at it, and they're both just such interesting and fun characters. Yozak being kind of fun and laid back and Gwendal being Gwendal gives them such a great and complimentary contrast.

Possible prompts:

Mission fic of some kind, fake dating/marriage/relationship a plus.
Gwendal sewing/knitting something for Yozak
Yozak decides Gwendal needs to loosen up a little; things get out of hand

And I've always wanted to see some Ken/Yuuri/Wolfram. There's so much weird history between the three of them, most of which Yuuri and Wolfram don't even remember! Ken is so good at scheming, but there's also the underlying melancholy of having outlived so many people he's loved. (Mostly Shinou, but still.) I just love him, and inserting him into the Wolfram/Yuuri dynamic could be a ton of fun.

Greta has some Questions about the Original King that everyone else has been too tactful to ask.
A rumored haunting in the castle has Ken, Yuuri and Wolfram staying up all night.
An ancient curse has been invoked and there's only one way to stop it....

Gosh I love Blitz and Hearth. I love how neither of them fit where they 'should' belong and how deeply they know each other's scars, and I love the affection that shows under their bickering.

Blitz trying to get Hearth to dress up (or having to help him dress up for reasons) could be a blast.

For art, I love rich colors but I also love limited color palettes and stark contrasts (think of woodcut blocks). I would love to see something that hearkened back to Norse art!

This whole Inge thing is going to come to a head at some point, right? Hearth can't be that oblivious forever...can he?
Hearth needs new clothes, so obviously he comes to Blitz. Maybe Blitz takes them right back off, you tell me.

Ugh, these broken beautiful morons. I will ship them forever, like it's my job, nay, my calling.

I am not particularly fond of the original ending (once we start timeskipping) and haven't read more than the first manga, so please ignore things, go AU, etc. I'm fine with Watanuki having the shop; one of the reasons I don't like the ending is how little CLAMP actually did with that.

I like the lushness of canon, and the underlying feeling that there's always a price for every pleasure. Melancholy is fine but I'd prefer nothing too sad or broken.

Possible prompts:

I am low-key obsessed with Doumeki noticing Watankui on the basketball court. Pre-canon, during canon, maybe someone ends up bringing a basketball to the shop and they have to explain the game?

The length/number of requests here is in NO WAY suggestive of how much I want fic for the relationships and fandoms I requested. I love them all and want them all or I wouldn't have asked, I promise. (I will probably add prompts here but do not feel bound to them, and my DNWs will not change.) I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. (You can probably tell from my requests.) Finding strength in connection - and unexpected connection, trust, cooking together, finding commonalities where they're least expected. Frottage and desperation and hungry kissing are bonuses. I really loved the AU of "This World Inverted," and was always kind of bummed that the show didn't do more with it. I would love to see cardigan-wearing Magnus dealing with re-committing to magic, along with this charming, handsome mortal who is suddenly determined to court him. And what are the long-term consequences of other!Clary's visit? I have questions!

As for main timeline Magnus and Alec, I love the 'we're not supposed to be attracted to each other, buuuuuuuuut' thing they have going on, and how they have to navigate so many obstacles - Shadowhunter and Downworlder conflcts, Alec's family, Magnus's immortality - to get to a happy ending. Their fate at the end of the series was so satisfying to me. They'd earned it!

Possible prompts:

Honestly, I'd love to see them on just...a date. There must have been a few where nothing was actively exploding, I know it!
Alternately, working together to solve a mystery or conflict in their professional roles
Flirting in the early days when they thought no one else was around. Watching Alec get sucked in and then catch himself and remember who he was supposed to be was so angsty and heartbeaking and I could have rolled in that angst forever.
Dealing with the aftereffects of a spell or enchantment

I know there are some not insignificant differences between the novels and show here - I have only watched the show. If you're mostly a book person, please just focus on the commonalities/what I find appealing about the ship, go AU, whatever works best for you.

I love everyone in Magnus Chase's corner of the Riordanverse so very, very much. This time I'm focusing on my favorite canon couple and my favorite floor, but if other characters want to peek in, I'll be happy to see them. (And if you want to go with Jason Grace showing up somewhere among the honored dead, he can come too.)

I like how Floor 19 always ends up on the same page, even though they come from different coasts and centuries - there's tension sometimes, but they work through it. I ship Magnus and Alex like crazy. It's fine if Halfborn and Mallory are a couple but also fine if they aren't.

And I just love Blitz and Hearth together. The times when they're physically and emotionally exhausted and end up doing stuff like poking each other in the chest because they're too tired to bicker!

The Norse family trees are weird and complicated. How do they navigate issues with extended family?
Sneaking out and hanging around Boston.
How does Hotel Valhalla handle birthdays? (Does Halfborn still celebrate his birthday?) Holidays?

Thoth seems to find Setne fascinating, when he mentions him. Setne is a right-out amoral bastard who figured out how to destroy the gods (but can't do it), Thoth is at best not constrained by 21st-century ideas of human morality...there's a lot here.

What else does Thoth have sitting around that Setne might want?
Or is Thoth setting up a trap to try to bring Setne back to judgement?
Maybe both?
Or maybe Setne comes to hide out at Thoth's for reasons.
And of course precanon stuff - the initial theft, what kind of relationship they had before Setne died, if Thoth intervened - or refused to - when Setne died, if they ever worked together.
(Did they have a thing? I so want them to have had a thing.)

I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. I tend to prefer fantasy/adventure AUs to everyday ones (so, Pokemon trainer AU over coffeeshop). Length, genre, any of that is entirely up to you. The suggestions here are just that, suggestions, and feel free to look at other letters, etc, for ideas.

If I have 'better' sounding prompts for any character/fandom, it's not because I like them less, it's just how inspiration has struck. <s>I'm going to update this until around the 21st of September, so if you want more prompts, hang on.</s> I think this is what I've got for prompts - but please, go with what <em>you</em> want to write and what you have fun exploring!

xxxHolic: Doumeki Haruka, Doumeki Shizuka, Watanuki Kimihiro

I like that Watanuki ends up getting support (and love) from two generations of the Doumeki family. I like the differences between his relationships with them both, how he has a near-instant connection with Grandpa Doumeki but his relationship with Shizuka takes a lot more work. I love Watanuki growing into his role (both early in canon and later) and the fact that both Shizuka and Watanuki pretend to be much more in control of their lives and feelings than they actually are.

As for Haruka, I would love to know what his life was before - his relationship with Yuuko, his relationship with his grandson while he was living, what he was like as a priest.

A spooky story with any/all of these characters would be fun, but don't feel confined to the season.

I would love to see these characters in different (but still magic) settings, meeting in different times and places. Watanuki deliberately getting hurt because he knows Doumeki will come after him/fix things.

Yuri!!! on Ice: Yuri, Yuuri, Otabek, Phichit

I love humor, friendship and found family and friends with benefits, and the international cast of YoI. I love all the opportunities to explore different languages and cultures and habits and hobbies, especially food and dancing. I love that these athletes are so driven and how hard they work.

Gen or shipfic is fine, and other skaters are more than welcome. I have a lot of ships and friendships I like reading about; these are my four favorites, and I'd love to read about any or all of them. (Top ships for them are Yuri/Otabek, Victor/Yuuri, Yuuri/Phichit, Phichit/Celestino, and Yuri/Otabek/Yuuri. Yuuri + Phichit and Otabek + Yuri are my favorite friendships. But again...that's just the top.)

Someone had the idea for an AU where Yuri was guarding Otabek and Otabek kept taking stupid chances so Yuri would protect him/pound the hell out of anyone threatening Otabek, and I've kind of wanted it ever since.

For both Phichit and Otabek, anything about how they navigate being the leaders/pioneers; having to live internationally to train, working with their home countries' skating associations, finding a coach. Carrying the Olympic flag for their respective countries.

I have a lot of questions about Yuuri's skating career before he left Japan. Why did he go to Detroit with Celestino? Was it ambition? Stress? Both/and?

Watari is my favorite, always, forever. I have many, many questions about his Mysterious Past that will never be answered. I also ship him with Tatsumi (and don't mind the idea of him being FWB with Tsuzuki), and really enjoy his relationship with Hisoka.

Check Please!, Alexei "Tater" Mashkov

I love this big Russian sweetheart. Sure, he doesn't have a lot of panel time, but he's so sweet and fun! I ship him with Bitty a lot but am also fond of Jack/Bitty/Tater and Kent/Tater(/Bitty). I'd love to know more about his skating family and past.

For an AU, he's too big to be a figure skater but ice dancer Tater is a possibility I would be happy to see explored.

Other ideas: Shenanigans at the All-Star Game, Tater coming to the States as a college student instead of as an adult pro, I wouldn't say no to PWP.

DNWs: Non-con, any kind of pregnancy. I know real pro hockey can be unpleasant, but I would prefer no permanent injury or detailed depictions of hazing/bullying. No trans* headcanons, please.

Thank you for writing for me! I really love doing RSoI and I'm excited about this year. Some of this is recycled from last year's letter but there's a new ship and some new stuff here too.

Leo is so open and friendly and Otabek is so reserved, and I love that contrast, especially if Leo gets Otabek to open up. Plot ideas, shippy and less so:

I love the thought that both Leo and Otabek come from backgrounds where there's a lot of culinary mixing (Korean and Russian influence in Kazakhstan, Tex-Mex and all the other Mexican-American foods) and like the thought of them experimenting together. With food. Okay, maybe with more than food too.

Otabek and Phichit are the groundbreakers; they've got little if any state support behind them and they're both invested in supporting their country/spreading skating in their countries. I'm dying to know what they think of each other, if they ever hang out, if people try to get them to talk about each other as The Pioneers and they kind of roll their eyes or if they're proud of each other too.

Christophe Giacometti/Kent Parson (Check Please!)

Have two charts. Here is the Yuri!!! on Ice height/age chart; Chris is 25 and 183 cm. Here is the Check Please! chart for the Samwell Hockey Team and Kent. Kent is 23-ish and 178 cm. Chris is one of the 'old men' in skating and towers over a lot of his peers; Kent is on the young and short side of his peer group. They are so different and they also have so much in common! I have sailed on ships for far less and I think they could have a lot of fun together. (And boy would they look hot.) Ideas:

Shenanigans at the Olympics
Kent comes out and ends up at an international Pride event or photoshoot
They've been off-and-on FWB for years (and maybe end up catching feelings?)
They share a common sponsor and have to wine and dine a representative together

I don't care if the setting is more like YoI or Check Please! in terms of homophobia, weird quirks of the season, etc, but I would prefer to not have homophobia as a focus of the story. DNW Kent with any serious mental illness.
