Top ten fics, by hits on AO3:
10. Love Is Goodbye (The We Will Become Stars remix),
Saiyuki. The only fic from my most-written fandoms on the list, and the only remix. Happily, it's one of the stories I'm the most proud of.
9. Best. Mom. Ever,
Futurama. The first but not last appearance of Yuletide! Also the only Futurama fic I've ever written. I wish I'd had more time to work on this one, honestly, I think it would've been even better.
Naruto. The first but not last appearance of Kakashi/Iruka. There's actually quite a bit of humor fic on this list.
7. Twelve Easy Steps,
Naruto. Humor again and Kakashi/Iruka again.
6. Lazy Sunday,
Young Avengers. Another Yuletide Madness story, but I'm happier with this one.
5. Just Another Job,
Leverage. This is the first fic in the list that's really 100% ship-free, and one of the first stories I wrote for purim_gifts
. This Leverage thing is still popular, apparently. :D
4. Four chemicals Lestrade was glad Sherlock quit, two he tolerated, and one he decided he rather liked,
the first but not last appearance of Sherlock.
I still kind of wish they hadn't given Lestrade an ex/wife in Series 2 so I could pretend this 'verse was canon. Yes, I am that much of a loser.
3. Whatever Gets You Through the Night,
another BBC Sherlock fic, was already pretty high on the hit list, but then it got remixed, and the numbers bounced up again.
2. Under the Skin,
also known as the Sherlock bodyswap fic. I fucking love this story, dumb as the premise is, and it too benefited in hits from getting remixed.
But so far the highest numbers belong to...
Petshop of Horrors. I've only written two Petshop fics, and they're both in the top twenty of my hit list. I think in part it's because it's such an 'old favorite,' a classic and one that both ended in a reasonable amount of time and in a pretty satisfying way
yes, I am looking at you, xxxHolic and every shonen series ever written
. The #2 story is approaching its numbers at this point, and I'm actually a little sad about it. It's rather dear to me; it was another Yuletide Madness fic, and I really liked the way it came out. And of course, with Madness, I was rushing for a beta and all that stuff, and it's always fun when something you've done so quickly comes out so well - and clearly strikes a chord.
