Katsucon's con management has apparently gone off its dried frog pills. The new policy? 2d artwork only in Artists Alley, a Webcomics section for, er, honestly, I'm not even sure, Industry for the commerical types, and The "Crafters Corner" for, er, crafters, stuck in the Vendors Hall, because, well, you know what? I'm not even going to come up with a sarcastic 'reason,' because I don't goddamn know.
People, understandably, complain. The con leadership is unsympathetic. But hey, they changed the policy so you can sell keychains in Artists Alley and the Webcomic areas now! Woo?
I haven't been to that many conventions, but I know y'all have, and I know the types of stuff that people have sold at cons and this seems...oh, I know the word I'm thinking of, mind-bogglingly stupid. Am I wrong? Do other cons do this and I just don't go out much?
