For Fic in a Box

I gave:

Serene and Golden Wonder, Yuri!!! on Ice, Otabek/Yuri post-canon. The title for this was a bitch and I eventually looked up poems about orchids. I am nine years old.

Undertow, Weiss Kreuz, mostly a Crawford character study before and through Kapitel.

Escape from Rosenkreuz, a game you can play with a six-sided die! It was really fun to get to make something unconventional. Thanks to Captain Azul, who I am pretty sure doesn't even use DW any more, for helping playtest it.

Thank you for writing for me!

Here are some things I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, relationships that are just as strong with or without romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. (You can probably tell from my requests.) I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. For shippy stuff, I like any rating from general to adult; just go with what works for the story.

Notes on where to find canons (at least in the US) are included in case you're intrigued.

Minx: Shelly, Bambi




This show is such a delight! I fell in love with it (and the whole cast) right away. Shelly and Bambi come from such different worlds, and I love that that aspect of their relationship never stops them in the slightest. (They have other challenges, of course. Hoo boy, do they!) I ship them like crazy.

Having said that, I would also love to see either of these characters on their own, before or after the canon setting. How did Shelly end up taking a traditional route? How did Bambi find happiness taking off her clothes?

There's so much joy and love in this show. I love the whole cast so feel free to involve them if they fit the story. I also love the look of canon; it's sleazy but everything still manages to look so good. The outfits alone give me life.

Possible prompts:

• Future fic set in the 80s and beyond (how do these characters cope with the Satanic Panic? Queer liberation? Lilith Fair?)
• How does working at Minx change Shelly's relationship with her kids? What are Bambi's thoughts about the kids? I'm not usually a big kidfic person but they're a part of Shelly's life and one that hasn't been examined too deeply.
• More Shelly and Bambi working together, with or without Minx in the picture.
• Honestly for this one I would be delighted to see a good old-fashioned Christmas/winter/holiday story (noting that not all the characters in canon are Christian - I'm definitely thinking more 'seasonal' than anything else)

Nothing too detailed about Bambi's time at Spahn Ranch, please. Other DNWs: A/B/O, non-con, dubcon, no pregnancy or abortion storylines (it's okay to mention Shelly's canon pregnancies, just don't go into detail), no underage sex/sexual abuse.

Nimona: Ballister Blackheart





Ballister became the bad guy because he had to, but he did a lot of hard work in that role, too. I'd love to see the work he did on the way, the minions he lost along the way (it seems like that was hard on him), his working on plans and inventions. Post-canon, I'd like to see how he navigates his reunion with Goldenloin, his partnerships, if he ever sees Nimona again...there's lots of possibilities!

I asked for Ballister mostly because his journey is the one I find most interesting, but I'd be happy with the whole cast up to something or otherwise involved - any and all other characters you want to put in would be more than welcome. 

Possible prompts:

• Ballister re-navigating his relationship with Goldenloin post-canon
• Recruting and losing minions. It feels like it took a toll on him.
• The joys of invention and science, with or without other characters involved
• Future fic: seeing Nimona again, or seeing reminders of Nimona in someone else
• How did Ballister decide to become the villain he became? How much control did he have, vs. being controlled? (Were other villains before him less science-y, more ruthless, etc? Does he know that himself?)

Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar: Barb and Star





This movie was a blast of glittery sunshine and I loved every minute of it. Pre-canon, post-canon, missing scenes during canon, it's all good. Barb and Star's relationship is such a delight, gen or shippy, and I wanted more of it the second the credits rolled. Singing! Dancing! Trish!

I like the whole cast so feel free to mix them in as wanted/works in the story, but please keep Barb, Star and their relationship central.

Fun domestic stuff or intense spy hijinks all welcome, or anywhere in between.

Possible prompts:

• Dumb Holidays with Barb and Star. They buy each other silly gifts for Groundhog Day, right? Have dinner together on International Lobster Day? Stuff like that. (Traditional holidays would also be fine, but I just love the thought of them finding any excuse at all to treat themselves and each other.)
• Outsider POV from someone buying furniture, pre-canon
• Barb and/or Star have to put on a show to save the local community center. Everyone gets involved.
