lady_ganeshIt me, signing up at the absolute last minute. Again.
I like: Humor, drama, snark, romance, smiling in the face of absurdity. I find AUs fun, both canon divergence and actual AUs. I tend to prefer fantasy/adventure AUs to everyday ones (so, Pokemon trainer AU over coffeeshop). Any rating is fine. Previ9us letters are all still pretty applicable to what I love about these fandoms.
I am an experienced knitter and cross-stitcher and a new-ish crocheter. I like making plushies and quick projects in general. I have a lot of yarn and floss and don't have any real weight preferences, etc. I don't have any food allergies, but I do hate broccoli.

I like the lushness of canon, and the underlying feeling that there's always a price for every pleasure. I will ship Doumeki Shizuka with Watanuki until the day I pass from this earth.
I am not particularly fond of the ending (once we start timeskipping; I don't mind that Watanuki takes the shop) and haven't read the second manga, so please ignore the ending, stay pre-ending, go AU, etc.
I love Watanuki growing into his role (both early in canon and later) and the fact that both Doumeki and Watanuki pretend to be much more in control of their lives and feelings than they actually are.
As for Doumeki alone, any glimpse of his life pre-canon would be really interesting to me. Feel free to dig into his relationship with any of the other side characters, too, as long as you keep the focus on Doumeki - his grandfather, Yuuko and Himawari, or a less romantic take on his relationship with Watanuki.
I would love to see these characters in different (but still magic) settings, meeting in different times and places. Watanuki deliberately getting hurt because he knows Doumeki will come after him/fix things. Watanuki complaining about making lunches and picking out Doumeki's favorites.
As for in-universe mythology: we know ordinary people only see the vacant lot but we also know people who've been helped by Yuuko/Watanuki at least have some memories of the experience. What legends spring up around the shop? Are there past or future stories about the shop or the people in it?
For art: I love the canon style but would like different takes as well. In general I like rich colors and pretty stuff, but goofy, light stuff is fun too!
DNWs: non-con, omegaverse, any kind of pregnancy. No teenagers in sexual situations under their ages at the start of canon.

I just think this movie is swell; it has such energy and passion and fun.
Nimona and Ambrosius both love Ballister, so how do they learn to get along (if they do)? What challenges do they face rebuilding the world, or if they venture together outside the walls? Just a normal day with Nimona + Ambrosius or all three of them would be fun (whatever 'normal' turns out to be), or maybe Ballister needs help or gets hurt or kidnapped and Nimona and Ambrosius have to reluctantly work together. Nimona and Ballister's friendship is the heart of the movie and I'd love more of it. And of course, the Ballister/Ambrosius relationship is so sweet and dorky and I love them so much.
We can see at the end of the movie how things are starting to change, but how do knights fit into a world where the wall is down? How does Nimona fit in? Does she want to be part of things as they change, or does she just want to be the surly barista at a coffeeshop somewhere? I'd love to see other characters get involved, too.
If you're familiar with both book and movie, I love how the movie almost gives Ballister and Ambrosius a second chance. They deserve it, damn it. (I'd love to see Meredith Blitzmeyer or some other fun stuff from the webcomic/book in the movieverse, too.)
I like that both the comic and movie art accomplished the balance between technology and medieval aesthetics but did it in different ways. I'd love to see that in any art, or in art that's straight-out in one era or another. AU versions would be fun too! And the ads and products in the movie both cracked me up and gave a chilling perspective on the way knights and 'monsters' were seen in the world.

Additional media: Unique Rules - KnittI love the what-might-have-been/what-could-be nature of Ambrosius and Ballister's relationship, and all the regrets and baggage and years between them. I love Blitzmeyer and how focused she is on her work and barely conscious she is of anything else. Ballister's relationship with Nimona is incredible, and that final scene between them breaks my heart.
I think it would be fun to have Nimona sneak back into Ballister's life, or go check up on Meredith now that she and Ballister are working together.
For Ballister/Ambrosius, pre-, during, or post-canon stories are all welcome. The way something so sweet and innocent got corrupted and complicated is fascinating to me, and I'd love to see any glimpse from how it started, how it went wrong, or how they end up working things out later. How much did they stay in touch over the years?
I'd love more mad science, inventions, or the world around our characters - how the kingdom grew and how it rebuilds post-canon. Change is hard! Ambrosius and Ballister in particular have a new world to adjust to, in that case. How well do they handle it?
I first encountered this comic as a graphic novel; I know there were some changes between the webcomic and publication, and it's fine if you want to go with either version if they contradict each other in whatever you're writing.
